Robbie Henderson is the principal Euphonium player of the Band of the Scots Guards. Over his seven year career, Robbie has been fortunate to perform across the globe, including France, Germany, Belgium, Cyprus, South Africa, Malawi and the Falkland Islands to name but a few. Alongside overseas duties, you can see Robbie performing with the Band of the Scots Guards at state ceremonial duties in London, such as the Queen's Birthday Parade, State Visits, the State Opening of Parliament, the Festival of Remembrance and Remembrance Sunday.
Having now served in two military bands; the Band of the Royal Armoured Corps and the Band of the Scots Guards, he has had the honour of performing Euphonium solos with both military bands and civilian brass and wind bands alike. Throughout his musical career, he has been fortunate to lead and conduct brass bands. Bedale Brass Band in North Yorkshire and the British Airways Brass Band in London.
Robbie aims to become a known Geneva Euphonium soloist in the London area. Currently working towards his FTCL, enhancing his skills and his repertoire, he is hoping to perform as a guest soloist for numerous ensembles in and around London in the near future.
"My Cardinal euphonium is such a joy to play. It's sound is wonderfully unique, allowing me to confidently stand out as a soloist as well as to suitably soar across the band when playing in an ensemble. It produces a wonderfully unique sound, the perfect balance of bright, open, dark and resonating."
